Welder

A Welder is a tradesman who specializes in welding materials. There was a need of some maintenance works to be carried in metal objects that was the origin of the trade. Practical oriented training programme is imparted to carry out projects of high utility value. This helps the trainee to plan and achieve the high quality production with particular schedule estimation of cost and time.

Eligibility
The basic eligibility criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and PSBTE and IT, Chandigarh for joining ITI courses is as follows:

•  Minimum educational qualification required for the candidates to appear for the exam is Class X.
•  Minimum age limit for a candidate prescribed is 14 years and maximum age limit is 40 years.
•  Maximum age limit for candidates with special needs is 35 years.
•  A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is given to the ex-servicemen and widows of servicemen martyred on service.
