Electrician

An electrician is a tradesman specialising in electrical wiring of buildings, stationary machines and Installation of related equipment. Electricians may be employed in the installation of new electrical components or the maintenance and repair of existing electrical infrastructure. Electricians may also specialize in wiring ships, airplanes and other mobile platforms.

Eligibility:
The basic eligibility criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and PSBTE and IT, Chandigarh for joining ITI courses is as follows:

• Minimum educational qualification required for the candidates to appear for the exam is Class X.
• Minimum age limit for a candidate prescribed is 14 years and maximum age limit is 40 years.
• Maximum age limit for candidates with special needs is 35 years.
• A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is given to the ex-servicemen and widows of servicemen martyred on service.
