Eligibility Criteria (Educational Qualification)

All those candidates are eligible for admission to Diploma courses who have passed the 10th examination with Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) as compulsory subjects and passed in English or its equivalent examinations conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council.</p >

Admission under Lateral entry scheme

The admission to 3rd semester (2nd Year) of the Three year Diploma course is also available in the institute. The admission under the lateral Entry Scheme for the I.T.I or 10+2 (Vocational with science subject) holder will be available on the merit basis. On the basis of sanctioned intake of the corresponding year, the 10% of the total 360 seats are available for the lateral entry scheme in the different streams.
Further, applicant shall be eligible for admission only if,
(i) He/She possesses a good moral character.
(ii) He/She fulfils the conditions mentioned in the Punjab Government notification incorporated in the. Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training Brochure.
(iii) He/She is a citizen of India.

Civil Engineering – 60 Seats

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, and it was defined to distinguish it from military engineering.

Electrical Engineering – 60 Seats

Electrical engineering thus deals with study and application of electrical systems for use in these different environments. It equips you with the knowledge of transmission and generation of electrical power, electrical circuit design, electronics, instrumentation, control system, understanding electrical and electronic networks etc.

Mechanical Engineering – 120 Seats

Mechanical engineering is the mother of all the engineering. It has its applications and usage in all other branches of engineering. It involves applications of all streams of engineering like Civil engineering (mechanics), computer engineering (CAD, CAM, and CAE), electronics engineering (mechatronics).So It has a tremendous scope in automobile engineering, cement industry, steel, power sector etc. There are unlimited opportunities of mechanical engineering jobs in well known companies all over the world.

Computer Engineering – 60 Seats

Software engineers can be involved in the design and development of many types of software, including computer games, word processing and business applications, operating systems and network distribution, and compilers, which convert programs to machine language for execution on a computer. Computer software engineers begin by analyzing users’ needs, and then design, test, and develop software to meet those needs. During this process they create the detailed sets of instructions, called algorithms that tell the computer what to do.

Electronics & Communication Engineering – 60 Seats

The basic principles and performance of electronic devices and circuits are introduced in the course. Design and analysis of different analog and digital circuits are considered in detail. Different analog and digital modulation techniques used for communication, equipments and systems involved in wireless communications, satellite and optical communication technologies, computer communication and networking, design and development of microelectronic circuits for computation and processing, components and systems for electronic instrumentation and control etc,. form major content of the course.
